our savior

The gospel in 1 minute
god's loving rescue

You probably have heard lots of different things about Jesus of Nazareth.  We invite both the curious and the skeptical to come and ask your questions.

Our basic message is this: Jesus saves.  He saves beggars, the wealthy, criminals, housewives, addicts, and upstanding citizens.  He does this because we all need a Savior and need to realize these five simple truths.

1. Realize that God loves you.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

2. Realize that everyone is a sinner.

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

3. Realize that sin has a price that must be paid.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

4. Realize that Jesus Christ died to pay your price.

Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

5. Repent of your sin and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you so that you may receive eternal life.

Romans 10:9, 13 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved... For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

our purpose

Christ has given us a mission to help people get spiritually healthy.

We seek to do this by three simple steps:

Worship

Love God

Mark 12:30

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

community

Love Each Other

Galatians 6:10

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

mission

Serve Today

Matthew 6:33-34

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.

our beliefs

We believe in the Holy Scriptures as the very Word of God.

We believe in the one true God who is three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in salvation by grace through faith.

We believe in the second coming of Jesus.

We believe all people are by nature and choice sinful and lost.

We believe in the bodily resurrection and eternal judgment.

We believe in separated living and godly works

We believe in the importance of the local church.

our team

Russ Dennis

Pastor Dennis came to United in 2017 to lead our church and help us reach out to serve our community.

He comes to the church with over 10 years of experience serving in several churches as well as having completed a masters degree in pastoral theology.

He enjoys buying books and reading some of them, playing fingerstyle guitar, disc golf, and Pacers basketball.  More importantly, God has given Russ and his wife, Rachel, a desire to see people grow in Christ and live out the gospel.

Matt Baluha

Matt was born and raised here in Garden City. At a young age, he trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior.  He began leading our youth ministry in 2016 and has a great desire to see teens come to Christ and serve Him with their lives.

Matt and his wife, Rachel, have three children who are the joy of their lives.  When he's not out and about, you can find Matt dominating in Pop-a-Shot.  Newcomers are welcome.
